Read Across America 2017

Last chance to sign up to Read Across America to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday this week! Members of the Central New York Women's Bar Association are reading in local schools this Thursday, March 2. Sign up TODAY to read to a classroom of children!

We have three locations set up and ready for you to sign up: Main Street Early Education Program (205 S. Main Street, North Syracuse), LeMoyne Elementary School (1528 LeMoyne Avenue, Syracuse) and VanDuyn Elementary School (401 Loomis Avenue, Syracuse).

The slots are each 30 minutes, though you may finish up earlier. Please plan to arrive at the school at least 10 minutes early to allow time for parking and visitor sign-in procedures at the main office, as well as transit to the classroom.

You are welcome to bring your own book or use a book chosen by the teacher. Remember that Read Across America is a celebration of Dr. Seuss, so Dr. Seuss books are encouraged (but not required)! For more information on Read Across America, check out: http://www.nea.org/grants/read-across-background.html

Please use the following links to choose a school and a time. Feel free to choose more than one slot if you can. We have many more slots available than volunteers.
