The Honorable James C. Tormey recently announced that the Fifth Judicial District will be implementing an Access to Justice Initiative in Onondaga County in 2019. The goal of this Initiative is to develop a strategic plan to provide effective assistance for all low-income individuals in Onondaga County who are confronted with a significant civil legal matter. As an initial step in the process, the District is forming a leadership group to assist in developing the plan, identifying community needs, establishing priorities and creating a sustainable program.
